The Retail Association of Maine has been hitting the streets and continuing to spread the word about Shop Second Saturday.  As an important part of that, we are excited to announce the launch of our new-and-improved website!

Just in time for the Holiday shopping season, ShopSecondSaturday.com has received a creative facelift and improved functionality that we hope will make the site a more effective tool for participating retailers around the state of Maine to encourage shoppers to "buy local".

The new site sports a responsive web design that is mobile friendly and looks great on a tablet or phone, which will be important to shoppers on the go as they move from retailer to retailer and storefront to storefront.

Participating retailer sign-up and account management has been simplified. No more usernames to remember - simply use your email address. Retailers can also categorize their special offers so that interested customers can more easily find their unique selection of goods.

It's also easier for participating retailers to update deal offers, social media listings (including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram), contact information, hours of operation and multiple locations.

Deals can be managed for the entire year instead of singularly by month.

They say it’s all about location, location, location. We took that seriously and have made updates to the website to reflect the importance of finding deals by location. The website now features an interactive map so that customers can seek out offers and specials relative to their geographic location. Customer e-mail sign-up is also more prominent, so sign-up today!

Thank you to our interactive design partner, plein air interactive, whose team worked feverishly during the past month to get the site up and running quickly for us all to start using it more often and more effectively just in time for the most important shopping season of the year.
